"If you've been lusting after the high-priced stuff for a cash-strapped IT department or just for hacking and exploration, then lust no more - just buy it!" -Tom's Networking

Most wireless tools only show you other wireless networks. The Wi-Spy does spectrum analysis, so it will show you all RF broadcasting in the 802.11b/g frequency rage. This is an incredibly valuable tool.

The WiSpy plugs into any available USB port on your laptop or computer. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. The supporting software for all of these platforms is included on CD-ROM.

Linux support requires "libusb" which is available in packages for most linux distros, in debian and ubuntu it can be installed via "apt-get".

Although not officially supported the Wi-Spy software for Linux should work on OpenBSD, FreeBSD and NetBSD but you will have to compile it yourself. We do not guarantee that this device will work on Open/Net/Free BSD but we will provide some help via email if you are attempting to use it on these platforms.

Check out of the screen shots of the Wi-Spy in action at the bottom of page. Screen shots included are for Windows and Linux.

Many thanks to Dragorn, author of Kismet for writing the Linux Wi-Spy software and making it available.
