If you're building custom, you need a solid base to work on. When we do custom work, we usually recommend building from SBC rather than picking up an off-the-shelf product and bending it to your needs, or even worse, building from component parts and having to engineer something that's already been done. Moving targets and cost overruns can really cause problems when you're trying to engineer a solution, so it's important to pick the right tools for your job.
