The CM9 supports all three popular 802.11 protocols: 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11a. It operates in the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz ISM bands.
Based on the Atheros chipset, this card will work with Linux, Windows, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and NetBSD. Due to the size of this card and location of the antenna connectors it is the ideal card for replacing the open source unfriendly cards that come stock in most laptops.
